Description I always wanted to one of these sorta things in my early years on DA so I'm. finally getting around to that! (Template found [here] !)

Additional Info:

Background: Finn grew up on their family farm further west in NCR territory- they often helped their brother and father in the fields and with the brahmin, and learned to hunt at an early age. As they grew up, extended hunting trips would become a necessary retreat from a father who began to take out his frustrations with his own deteriorating health on his family. During this, often in an attempt to extend their time away from the ranch, they learned how to survive off the land, taking an interest particularly in the different uses of what little wild plant life grew. Eventually they did leave home, shortly after their brother had left to go further east, but instead found themselves travelling west. During sometime in this they became involved with the followers of the apocalypse, getting a much more formal education than the scattered books and passed down knowledge they had available on their farm. During this they took up an interest in botany and horticulture, particularly looking out to the mojave and it's unique flora, while also expressing interest in plant genetics and breeding for specific qualities in plants. Eventually during this they found themselves working as a courier for the mojave express, wanting to use it as an opportunity to travel while still working, until they were given a fateful package to deliver...

Personality (In Depth): Finn is not much of a people person. Growing up in an isolated setting left them fretful of how much they fit in, and if or how much other people notice this, making their interactions with other people at first come off as stiff and restrained. Often tries to keep to themselves but ends up especially drawn into helping others who are in need, either out of pity or guilt.

Trust doesn’t come easy with them- Finn will accept the help and company of others, but often warily. Expect them to probably be constantly questioning the other person’s motives, ready to take flight as soon as things look like they might go sour. However, gaining their trust isn’t impossible- just a lengthy process. Finn is choosy about the company they keep after all.

Those who do manage to earn their trust see a Finn who’s much more willing to let their guarded facade down- very chatty if you can get them talking about something they know a lot about/ like, and prone to even being jokey or playful. Along with that they tend to be extremely loyal to those they’ve befriended, almost to a fault.

Finn’s essential mode of dealing with things is ‘do no harm but take no shit’- They do their best to keep out of trouble and other’s business, but won’t hesitate to retaliate if so much as threatened. Which when nervous (which admittedly, tends to be a lot of the time), they tend to take anything that way, causing them to potentially come off ass aggressive.

Extra/ Misc. Notes:

  • Zilla is a runty gecko that Finn's travelled with since she was a hatchling, and has to keep her on a toddler leash in more populated areas because they tend to overstimulate/ agitate her and she's only semi-tame so she tends to take bites outta people when she's like that
  • Finn refuses to eat any old pre war packaged foods, with the exception of fancy lad snack cakes, it's hard to find anything else that sweet...
  • Finn also seems to be more comfortable around any nonhumans, whether it's critters, robots, ghouls or super mutants- which is strange considering their mostly altruistic nature- they just seem to have trouble feeling comfortable around other people. like they stick out too much.
  • Can play a mean harmonica solo!

I really like that. It almost seemed like a DND character sheet for a moment. Awesome!

Thanks! and I mean in all fairness fallout in it's original making was meant to use the GURPs system so it's not too far off of the mark really!

Its awesome for sure. I have been playing Dungeons and Dragon's fifth addition with Gatlin and a few of my new Xbox friends so my mind kinda went there instantly. I"m the DM so my head translates everything into DND lately.
