Background: Born in Scotland and raised in New York city (where he still lives), Emory was shy growing up. But though his friends helped him gain confidence, they exposed him to drugs and violence, the darker side of the world. He started having problems getting along with his family, and dropped out in tenth grade and lived with older friends of his, who dealt drugs. But after the death of two mutual friends, they started to fight and Emory was kicked out. While living on the streets he was introduced to henching, and applied for a job for an amateur villain. After a couple years he decided to hench for someone more serious, and since then he has been one of the best henchmen for the super villain Ominous Owl... which turned out to be a not-so-serious job after all, since said villain was crazy.
Emory hated henching, and everyone involved in it, and decided to vent his stress with more drugs, including tobacco, alcohol, and heroin, and dressing up and beating the living shit out of people. He figured that he might as well beat up "bad guys" since he'd get away with it easier that way, and began getting an even better high knowing he was being an instrument of justice. His alias: Hatchet, a name which he preferred being called more than his real one.
