Description These are some Batman Halloween Village concepts I created for The Bradford Exchange. I believe they are in the pre-production stages. Please do not color or reuse these images. Thanks for looking!

Hey BatFan

I sent the following message to your email as well as your DA message box:

-----------------
Hi Todd

Thanks for the note.
I'll try to answer your question as best I can.

To my knowledge, the Batman Halloween Village I designed for The Bradford Exchange did not go to production. Generally, they will put out ads to try and "pre-sell" the village set before going to production. This is probably what you saw. They usually do this in select markets to test a product line's response. If they get enough pre-orders they will start production. If they do not get the required number of orders they will cancel the line.

I was hoping this line would go forward because I was happy with my designs. They were fun to work on

If you come across the ad, please scan & send it along to me. I would like to see how they rendered my designs for the color ad.

Thanks again!
- Chris

Interesting but my name is not Todd must have been someone else who asked you about these not me. Do you still have the original artwork to these were these done digitally or traditionally?

LOL! I'm so sorry! I just recently had someone with a similar id name ask me about these sets and I thought it was the same person. I should have checked the id's more closely. My bad.

I drew these traditionally (Sharpie felt tip pen on trace) and scanned. The Wayne Manor has a little shadow added in Photoshop. If I ever get some free time, I'd like to render the Toy Factory (Joker's Hideout). I have since changed my method to drawing completely digital (no paper). Still trying to replicate my traditional inking with a Wacom.

Those all look very good and interesting. Very nice details here, like brick patterns and such. Another house design I would've liked to see would've been The Joker's hideout. Which could be a creepy circus or a twisted and spooky toy store.

Hi Itchyscratchy

Thanks for the compliments!

Funny you should mention adding a "Joker's Hideout", because that's what the Toy Factory is supposed to be. That was the request made to me by the client when I was given the project.

Since the Joker doesn't really have a specific "base of operations" like Batman does, we thought of using a Toy Factory. I like your creepy circus idea! That could be much more visually interesting!

Thanks again!
