This is a design I did for PatchTogether. I'd greatly appreciate it if you'd vote for it and comment on it if you have an account there:[link]
The anglerfish, gone all pear-shaped. Not a particularly streamlined or handsome creature, but still strangely alluring to all those around him. Poor fishies.
I spent some time wondering what I could turn the pear into, and decided that the stalk and mouth offered themselves to this anglerfish design. Ideally, parts of the design would glow as shown!

It feels, on multiple levels, like it's a fitting tribute to Ursula Vernon's work. Nice design!

Ah yes, the 'lolwut' pear - it is her pear that this design is based on. Originally it was submitted to a Patch Together contest (a website for design contests and production/sale of resin or vinyl toys) which I assume Ursula was heavily involved with, as the idea was to design a paint job for this pear. Sadly, I don't recall that this contest ever went anywhere. Indeed, I submitted a few entries for the site, but it became more and more quiet and nothing at all appeared to be happening. The website still exists but I'm not sure what they're doing these days - there hasn't been a new toy production for a very long time now. zonkey - have you stayed more up-to-date on this than I have?

I think the site is pretty much dead...Unless you want a chum buddy 3, or chum buddy rip off. Its too bad. I don't think there are many sites that do toys. I have still been checking things at PT, but no new toys since the bonsai dragons in 2011. I think they still have the plush pears in stock too. I guess we won't get our designs done, hey toyskunk.

Yes, I remember they went nuts about chum buddies. I was really quite excited about the idea of designing toys, too (though I was more keen to see the novel and really unique designs than I was the comic-book wolf clones)! Maybe there'll be a similar site one day. If I find one, I'll be sure to bring it to your attention!

and if ur gunna make it a t shirt take the water affect away u know make its light syand out and take out the senery to just the black of the t shirt ...or even still make it into on small strip og background if you know what i mean
