Description I find drawing Spartans kinda strange - I hate it while I'm doing it but love it when I'm done.

Β Anyway, A spartan in mark VI mjolnir armour.Β

I guess he'll need a name...

This looks very realistic to the game itself. I give this Deviation a 10/10!

I'm trying to get some of my own work on DeviantART, but I don't know much about editing it digitally. How did you outline this and color it so cleanly?

Hi there.
I create the entire thing in photoshop, using a drawing pad. The paintbrushes are the really basic round ones that aren't pressure sensitive, and they're pretty small...like 2 pixels on a 1000x1000 canvas. I first sketch the lines with a small brush really messily, then i go over those lines with a thick, brightly coloured brush to get the entire shape. Then I go over those lines again with the small brush, but carefully (I use shift to get straight lines for this part).
For the colour I usually start with a basic midtone colour and use the dodge or burn tools with a 0% hardness for lighting and shadows. (Although I have been experimenting with other methods). After that i go over it with a smudge tool on a low strength (10-20). I'd also like to point out that each colour is in its own layer so colour bleeding can be easily fixed.

Hope this helped!

Hmm; I don't have Photoshop, but fortunately I know someone who does. Thanks!

A free alternative is Paint tool Sai. I've seen a few people use it, though I can't tell you much about it because I haven't used it myself.

I am curious what program you use to create this pic, it's so clean and neat(I love clean lines~).Β

I love the line works.Β

Those details of the armor are amazing.Β

I don't really know how to leave a professional comment, but I want to tell you that your work is freaking AMAZING~~~~Β !!!

To create most of my art I pose 3d models in programs such as GLLara (or gmod which I'm beginning to try out) and then draw around it and colour, which makes it sound easier than it is... the art program I use is Photoshop cc (as well as using a drawing tablet) but I'm quite surprised that you think the lines are neat, as I think they are wobbly..

Thanks very much for the positive feedback and kind words. It really means a lot to me!Β  Β

XDDDDDD. At long at I can see lines and not burred ones, I think they are neat. It's still amazing~~^^

That's a really complicated process… thanks for explaining to me.Β

However, I know nothing much about those 3D models mods.Β

I can see how much love you put into it~~

Can't wait to see your other works later~~Β Β

Love the details you put into it~Β

I can't really say I am a true Halo Fan, since I still don't understand the whole Halo universe.Β

But I still love Halo, I am still learning about the backgrounds and settings of the game.Β

(I start playing Halo 3 in 2012, so I missed Halo and Halo 2… since the graphics in the older ones is not pretty as recent ones, don't think I can finish the whole gameplay. I didn't complete Oblivion because of the same problem… compare to Skyrim is ….the graphic is not comparable of course….)

I started playing halo 2 the year it was released, and loved the universe since. But I see where you're coming from. I've thought the same about a few games. Hopefully there'll be a halo 2 anniversary edition like they did for the first one.Β
