Alas, after appearing in Sonic R and ONLY Sonic R, the fan community perverted poor old Tails doll into something he wasn't, to be extent that he started to believe it himself, causing mischief and strife wherever he went. But one fateful day he met Marine, she overpowered his evil intent with her can do attitude and sassy austrailian'ness. They became good friends and the Tails doll learnt what it was to be good again and the curse which was actually brought on by the fan community itself was lifted.

I'll never really understand how "the legend of the Tails Doll" came about to begin with. He's just another one of Robotnik's robots. Albeit one with the exterior of a plush toy. The little light thing on his head is a common "robotic" thing in Japan, if I recall correctly. The Tails Doll really isn't that creepy besides. I simply do not get it, I guess...
