I heard that the game was so terrible, that all of the official videos of the game uploaded by Nintendo of America, (trailers or gameplay showcases), have either really negative rating, or the ratings and comments disabled entirely.
About as bad as CoD: Infinite Warfare, and Metal Gear Survive.

I'm waiting for Nintendo to grow a brain and make a real next-gen console. The WiiU just isn't doing it for them. A GameCube 2.0 would be far better, and they could get a ton of those triple-A m-rated titles on it as well as create their own line of badass exclusives.
A new FPS as Samus, an open world RPG as Link, the possibilities are endless.

"A new FPS as Samus" But... why FPS? Why not a GIGANTIC 2D Metroid? With modern recources of Nintendo i think that's achievable. With modern technology, they can make something like Super Metroid, but 10x as bigger.

Zelda has been getting games for years and Link has been in every one of them. Samus has not been in a single game (other then Smash Bros) or had new of her since 2010.

I will say this, this is at least some level of an attempt to restore good faith within the brand, granted, I think we ALL wanted Samus back, especially after Other M's shite, but if this is well received, they might do more Metroid games. Of course, it could backfire horribly either way, but we'll have to wait.

Yes, it is an attempt. An attempt in the wrong direction, but it is an attempt. So long as I get my badass bounty hunter, I'll be fine. Emphasis on badass; not the "I'm going to listen to this one guy who used to command me but doesn't now and who I probably left in part because of" that Other M had. Yes, I understand Samus had a connection with Adam, but...well, I'll leave it at-

Personally I like the game Other M, I thought it was an improvement to a point, my only issue is that they did not go in more into the psychological issues with Samus. sure she's human and she's infuse with alien genes, but she still human and with that she had a very traumatic experience as a child, I don't care what anyone says, something like what happens at her has to leave scars and I wish we explored just how damaged she really is. We could have had a bit of a Silent Hill moment with Samus in we could explore the darkest recesses of her mind. Kind of what we did with Batman in Arkham Asylum when he got a whiff of the Scarecrow gas.

Here's my bit; the gameplay (control wise) is fine. No issues there, minus the lack of control stick. Though it could stand to be less linear. The whole psychological thing was an amazing idea, but executed poorly. If they had used an enemy that she's not seen many times before, or had some other person die to Ridley and that causes trauma, that's fine. Just not the fight itself for two reasons. One: Gameplay wise, that kinda breaks up the flow of things. Two: Before that point she's blown Ridley to pieces multiple times. You'd think at this point it'd be more cathardic to blow him up for the umpteenth time rather than traumatic (and this is coming from someone with PTSD so while my experiences are not others I'm not talking entirely out of my anus). And really? I'd love to see another side to her. Just a few things. She's always been silent or speaks little, so keep it that way. She's not one to take orders from someone randomly, so don't make her do that. Psychologically though? Give her a reason why she's silent. Maybe the traumatic experience left her so scarred she couldn't speak for a time and still prefers not to. Have a sort of relapse or something, just not against something she's proven herself to be able to handle time and time again. Also piss off authorization system.

If this works, and if fan demand is big enough, I think we have a decent shot at getting a great Metroid game again with a good Samus. Not that Team Ninja "Hurr, mah bebeh!" bullshit, pretty much Nintendo's Fem Shep/Carol Danvers. Who would you give a new Samus led Metroid game, though?
