I love the personality in this. Giving life to a pretty unknown character. As well as giving him a good reason to be a decepticon.

I've only read a handful of the Mosaics, but this is the first one I've liked. Great art, and a good, solid story that makes you wonder more about what happened. Nice work!

Excellent story! So often you see bad guys go good in stories... it's rare to see the inverse.
Though, with a name like "Spinister," could he have turned out anything but a bad guy?
Out of curiosity, what gave you the idea to use Spinister for this story (or write this story for Spinister, whichever the case may be)?

I was just looking for a new character tow rite about, and Spinister hadn't had a lot of air time so I thought he should have a story. And since he doesn't say much to his fellow Con's, I just thought it would be interesting to have a reason for that.

Hmmm. Interesting. A different take on Spinister, though I do not believe we have any backstory whatsoever as to WHY Spinister joined the Decepticons so this does not break with any canon that I am aware of.

Good script and art overall, but Megs's hand looks odd. The angle feels wrong in relation to the foreshortening. /nitpicking crit

Similar in the basics to Wheeljack in Transformers: Armada. Not saying that as a bad thing, but I find it good.

I wish a little more was there to support the Autobots leaving him behind; Perhaps some sort of situation where they /couldn't/, or he was being sacrificed to save a greater number of causalities.

I think there's enough story present as we are only seing it from Spinister's point of view and what he believes to have happened. In the context of this story that's all that matters.

Mosaics like these remind me that Transformers stories can be about characters we feel sympathy for; even if the characters do not side with the good guys.

That's the best kind of antagonist- you can see where they went wrong and understand it. Same thing with making a protagonist a little bad. It creates a good contrast!

That's a strong piece. Poor Spinister had quite a rough life. I can understand him.
