Beautiful! Love the glowing sword, I just want to reach in and pull it out. The glow makes me think of the LotR. I would have liked a bit more colour in the leaves, red and orange, but maybe it's not autumn . Then again it would probably draw attention away from the sword and boy..

Looks awesome man. I dig the @magical@ color scheme. The way you did the shading so wavy really works too. Especially in the doorway. It sorta looks like the kid wandered through a portal... into his imagination.
Since when did turquoise become the color of magic anyway? I thought it was supposed to be an ultra-purple color.

ya know i was trying something new things- i like the feel as well- there are a few things i might have done different- but think i captured the overall magic of the piece- i figured turquoise would be something different as well so did it work?
