Well I'd say that the rock was there since olden times as a way to meet up with the draogn, the spirit of the forest as it were. However, time has past and people have forgotten him, and he waited so long that he gre into the forest. I don't know if he's CAUSING such floral growth, but there's definitely more in his surroundings.
I'd say the child is after running away from something, and wanting to be alone/have someone to talk to. Luckily SOMEONE appears out of nowhere.
Thats what I get out of it anyways. I miles off?

I truly love this piece.. I like most of your art but this one has something so touching about it... I guess its the feeling I get sometimes - when you THINK your are alone but in reality... I love this wood. Want to be at the place of this child...

you can - you just have to play more - thats all i do - is just play for those that choose to watch and get my prints it makes me sit back and enjoy life a little bit. I think you have a nice talent - I would recommend to start playing with things outside of those you like to draw- start putting environments and themes in your art and you will go far n defining your own art

Thanks a lot for your nice tips and advice.
I'll play with new themes and environments for sure.
*p.s. Your artwork rocks anyway!

The details in the tree are exquisite. I love the placement of the dandelions, cuz at a distance they appear like a bed of gold coins that a dragon would naturally wish to sleep upon... and of course love the green... which is my favorite color!
