Description
I did not take this photo myself. I believe it's a public domain pic of an obscure air force plane from the early 1950s.The Northrop C-125 Raider was developed from the civilian N-23 Pioneer as a forward-area transport, and also as an arctic rescue plane. This one is taking off with rocket assist.
Cool B&W photo - I colorized it.

Looks good! The National Museum of the U. S. Air Force has one on display. The last time I was there it was displayed outside.

It is definitely worth the trip. The museum and parking are free. There are also many other sites in the area that are connected with the Wrights. Grimes Field in nearby Urbana has a small museum where they are rebuilding a B-17. This is also where they staged the B-25s for the Dolittle reunion flyover at the Museum.

Colourising shots - it either works or it doesn't. This worked. Nicely done mate, looks a bit like pastels or somthing.

thanks. i was trying to go for the "hand-tinted" look that was pretty common in the 50s. actually, it is hand-tinted - i don't have photoshop or any other fancy graphics program.
i tried this before on a pop-art piece - :thumb104694679:
