LIFESPAN
SEASON THREE
BEGINNINGS 1996 - 2002
COMPUTRON is a late 1996 16-colour survivor -- the last of the super robots to be "iconized" for a Windows desktop theme I never completed. He was also the last of the old icons still in need of renewal on the threshold of the new millennium. I upgraded him to 256 colours in 1998, but it could hardly disguise the fact that he was demonstrably undersized and disproportioned. His antennae were virtually indiscernible as he then looked, his mouth needed repositioning, and his colours begged for further alteration. He is among the characters I've updated least frequently, what with the occurrence of four- and six-year intervals between retooling.
SECOND WIND 2008 - 2009
The 2002 rendition brought COMPUTRON some way up in scale and he was significantly bigger than most icons I had done by that time. That meant the improvements of the 2008 version were mostly colouring and antennae / neck modifications. I made a new effort to enlarge him and refine his colour scheme the following year, but just like a great portion of the SEASON THREE characters, the source material is relatively scarce and a head-on shot of him is not to be found. Still, I did my best to transpose ¾ angle shots to a portrait view and observe scale more properly than before.
ULTIMATE WAVE 2014 - 2018
Not that it was really sufficient. Though larger than the Technobot members who comprise him, COMPUTRON only seemed marginally larger, sort of like SKYFIRE compared to even the biggest of the first-year Autobots. So not only did I bump him up by a good 50%, I took the opportunity to sharpen up his colouring and shading as well. Some details that were slightly too angular were also taken care of, such as the tops of his antennae, which needed to be a tad more rounded off. I think he looms nicely now, but don't be too surprised if I blow him up even a little more than this one day (if I decide everyone, including the likes of UNICRON, needs to be exactingly in scale).

I can see the antenna's are a bit off the inside parts should be done horizontally like the outside parts not straight. I can see no other flaws in his details excellent work Rik.

You mean the antennae should be curved both on the inside and outside, John?

Mr. John-man, do the antennae look better now? I didn't change them too much, but I did "shave off" the edges a bit on the inside part of them.

Hey Mr. Rik-sir! They do now, x3 better now! It looks so cohesive and balanced even more now, which completes in my eyes. I even noticed other details of his head design have been revisited. Fantastic work my friend!

I'll recheck. Perhaps there's room for some changes still.
