Description
This is a drawing of Bonnie Rideout, the Scottish fiddler champion. The piece was done with a 2B and a 4H pencil, the only two pencils I had at the time. The reference was taken from her "ScottishFire" album cover. This was an exercise to improve my reaslim skills and to capture the emotion.If you get a chance do check out her cds or a performance. If you like the Washington DC Pipebands you might find her among them, or them among her.

Hey this is nice.
Just try to make the shadows even darker - real black. Maybe try a 6b pencil or so. Because when I look at your work, it has almost only 2 tones - and not 3 (light - middle - DARK). Can you see it? Try to squeeze your eyes, so you see only "blurry" - now you even should see 3 tones (hard to explain, but hope you get what I mean).
