Wasn't initially going to have a background and then this little forest cropped up and now I have no idea where he is.
Division fights in all kinds of places, so he could be just about anywhere. I wanted to really challenge myself to push the limits on this one. Though this hyper-realistic style will not be used in the comic itself because it's so time consuming, I figured it wouldn't hurt to practice drawing them in a more realistic fashion.
So here's Ethan, early-shift. The full view is worthwhile.
The trees were a brush I downloaded. I'm really sorry that I lost the link, or I would post it here O_O;

I do usually get references every time I draw something because there's some crucial reference I don't have, but I do have a LOT of references piled up. I try to keep them sorted, but sometimes I just save stuff in one big file.

I have a box with printed references, because mostly I draw without my laptop running. ^^

I always print off my references when I want them. I also prefer to look at a page.

The pattern for a sackboy are pretty easy I think...but you have to sew a zipper into the stomach!

He doesn't really need the zipper, does he? Seems like that would be a lot of undue stress.

Wahhh I didn't mean for that. I just thought you might like to look at it... I don't even know if I could make him or make him the way you would like him. I've never made one. Okay, without the zipper he would be much easier, but if you ever consider to get him, let me make him, take a look at him and than decide if you want him. I would feel much better that way since I don't know how he'll come out.
Where do you go for vacation? ^_^ Don't forget to take me with you in your luggage, I could so need a break ^_^b
