Trezoid, I still don't know who you are, but you are the greatest at having ideas. Emotes that shrink to the size of the chat line is just the best thing!

Nothing. Maybe something in my userChrome is blocking. I can send the file to you in full. I do also for min-fonts on my system too (Im 40, seeing is not as good as when I was 20 LOL).

userChrome should have no effect on all of the changes, since I haven't touched text at all.
does your userchrome do anything to images?
Since it's website specific CSS selectors, I can't see how it doesn't work
Any other userstyles or userscripts?

I insert directly to my userChrome, I don't use extensions to do that for me (which is all that stylish actually does, inserts the text for you), and stylish is also known to cause issues with several other of my extensions (I only had it for Last.FM for a while but found doing it myself was faster and easier). I actually learned CSS this way around too and I used to maintain my own personally skinned dAmn this way. I've not bothered to update to the new image/size lay of dAmn.
I see you have your email addy up, I can email you anything you need. My config, my current userChrome, screanshots I write code for the program Apophysis and have gone through bug chasing and development with people so there is no skin off my nose to help you out with information to sort this

Aw, it doesn't work as it should for me
It's the only userstyle I've got installed, and even with Greasemonkey turned off it won't work properly. When hovering the title it only expands to cover the topic, so I only get two lines when there should be more. When hovering the topic it doesn't expand at all, but makes the bottom-border 2px instead of 1px and that's it. So I can't see title and topic
But it did indeed make everything smaller, I give you that
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.4) Gecko/20091204 Gentoo Firefox/3.5.4
You also forgot to mention that you've completely stripped title and topic of all images. Would it be possible to make them show on hover? It's kinda necessary if the thumbnails are to be clickable.

With the title and topic hover, the expand to full size when someone posts something.
I'll see what I can do about images in topics and stuff

Looks pretty good; I'll be needing this since I want to see as many lines as possible.
