I can't believe i haven't seen this photo of yours till now and it is one of your best for my taste. Perfect exposure for water showing its movement and how strong it flows. You also manage to get some yellow reflection of the skies despite the relatively short exposure. I can feel that cold fresh water! Combined with wonderful skies this one is really an awesome one

Thanks so much
And kudos for noticing it with the water, such movement is one of the hardest things to get absolutely right in relation to the sky, it is so easy to go to bright.

Cheers, I think Beethoven would fit very well, but I am more leaning towards Edvard Grieg - Morgenstemning (www.youtube.com/watch?v=1e9f9U… )

that's because of the sunrise you viewed. Love the piece, and understand why you would choose it but I just see more motion in the water beause of the long exposure I guess. It was a very peaceful morning if the Morning Song evokes the mood. But people often associate Beethoven with thundering sturm und drand when actually he wrote just as much light, happy music as the heavy handed stuff. I was thinking a little more of the Piano Sonata op. 14 no. 2, mvt. 1. which I love and have recorded. Sorry I don't know how to send that to you. By the way, I love Grieg and have performed and recorded his Piano Concerto (years ago now). I still want to get to Bergen and visit his home and where he worked and experience the region. Someday . . .

Even though I listen to all kinds of music, classical music I feel more than anything brings out the mood.
Especially when I am drawing or editing I like to listen to classical music and many times I notice I draw almost to the rythm of the music.

Piano Sonata op. 14 no. 2, mvt. 1 is really light, it kind of reminds me of a very small person jumping from grass straw to grass straw doing a fewΒ pirouettes between each.

I have only been to Bergen once, it is a beautiful city with a lot of history.

OH, I love that description of the sonata! I can see it in my mind's eye. Hard not to draw or move to the beat--I find it completely unnatural, of course and harder to do that to keep with the beat. My husband has been twice to Bergen for business, and I understand that it was the inspiration for the city of Arendelle in the Disney movie "Frozen". But I would like to walk in Grieg'ss footsteps and bit--living here in continental Europe and travelling has really given me a sense of living history as I have been able to visit many of the places that inspired the works of so many composers. I would like to get a sense of the Norwegian countryside--that sense of openness and large space that is in his music.Β

It was the first thing I thought of when listening to it.

Though I do prefer more rural areas, Bergen surely is a beautiful city.

Norway is rather large comparing to having just 5 million living in this country so there is a lot of places you will be hard pressed to meet any people, experiencing to open landscape in Norway is never an issue.
