Description
Wanted to pixel my favourite parrots for quite some time, so now I did. Also had the idea to use this as a banner for my Twitter, that's why I choose a 3:1 ratio, if not for that I would have made it not that wide I think.
20 colours, took me a bit more time as usual to get them right. No specific reference used, just a bunch of Hyacinth Macaw pictures.
Follow me on Twitter if you like my work, much appreciated! Some gamedev coming soon.

Thanks again. And mspaint could work too! But to be fair, it does'nt matter that much what software you are using (made this with aseprite).

This is excellent, professional, detailed work. It reminds me of Henk Nieborg's pixel art for The Adventures of Lomax. By any chance, were you inspired by him?

Thanks for the comment! And no, I even didn't know his work when I did this piece, have just recently seen some stuff from him.

This is truly breath taking. It looks so real. I had to zoom in just to confirm that it is indeed pixel art. XD I am moving this to our feature gallery of the group.

you did a great job here! Level of details is incredible and still you have used only 20 colours

MY GOSH! This is fantastic! Great palette, and good use of colour. Fantastic perspective in both object size, and distance "fogging". The feathers look sublime! This is going in my favourites for sure!
