I know it's been a long time on this comment. Nevertheless, i'm finding it more awkward to see her playing the string with her cannon and the very fact that, though her cannon is right handed in the first panel, she's playing the guitar with the cannon being on her left hand.
Beautiful art though.

Of course, the obvious counterargument is that Samus can play the cello just fine in Tetris . Which is true... but only because her power suit has two hands in that particular sprite, a configuration we've never seen before or since.

Thanks for putting it into context. This scene was so awesome that my eyes couldn't comprehend what was happening and gave me something completely different.
(Though on a serious note, the last panel needs more punch. Throw in some 'scree' or whatnot: heck, maybe Samus shouting a high note would be great, too.)
