Description As this gallery approaches its 3-year aniversary, it is time for the traditional reflection upon the previous year. A time when I go through my old sketchbooks and look at all the drawings that didn't get posted in the gallery. Most failed drawings obviously failed for good reason, but there are a few that, despite their artistic or thematic shortcomings, still deserve to be shared. And it will be these drawings that will be featured in this: my third annual sketchdump!

High Elves make good traveling companions--especially in rough terrain! As long as yor pack animals don't mind being manhandled up and down impassble ridges.

I still love the concept of this drawing, but the Elf looks horrible. Her anatomy is off, her perspecive is off, parts of her body seem to be drawn at different scales.... Sadly, there was just no salvaging this sketch.

I think it's a cute sketch with an elf helping her friend

I couldn't really see anything wrong with it until you explained to TFB71. I can kinda see it, though I don't think it would've completely ruined the piece. The concept, as you said, is a very good one, and the rest of her appearance is really, really nice.

Looks good to me. I'm not seeing any disparity in the scale of the anatomy, the perspective seems good. Maybe you been staring at it a bit too critically? That's happened to me.

Eh, its the way her neck sits on her shoulders, and how that bit of her transitions into the rest of he body. It just really, really bugged me...
