They could've left Sweetie Bell "crippled" just like Scootaloo, but that didn't happen. Hm... Maybe Dinky? Oh well, my headcanon got turned upside-down once I saw Octavia go all crazy with the cello, as well as Bon Bon going a little "cooky" over the Bugbear while Lyra showed a little more seriousness.

This story is set in a universe parallel to the show's, so it shouldn't even be an issue if I take background characters without any canon backgrounds from the show and make an enjoyable love story with them, while not stating anything about their relationships in the original show itself.

There will be a few others, but none that feature significant characters from the main show, so only backgroundless background ponies (e.g. OctaScrarch and FiddleBrass). All presented in a mild manner, so there won't be anything graphic apart from some very rare kisses. (and even if there will be something more, it will be well separated and posted on a different website, so only those will see it who actively look for it.)
I rather focus on their everyday life, as well as mysteries and occasional crisis situations that needs to be solved. (Ponyville just can't go a week without a catastrophe like rampaging rabbits after all...)
This story also has many branches, as the Berry, Derpy, and many other households have their own story, their own past and own future. All will be explored further side comic pages.

Well, you haven't seen how I play them out yet, it isn't exactly the same as the fandom often portrays them.
But regardless, their relationship won't be shown in the main comic much, only in extra pages (so people wouldn't miss out on the story yet are able to avoid octascratch).
