I intended to finish this one a month ago, but life and a business trip (that I mostly regret in hindsight) happened. I'm afraid the next page will have to wait till the end of this month too, but then I hope to get back into making this more frequently.

Also, I seem to not be one of the "most". I guessed that she didn't want to be an alchemist, just like BonBon.
Lyra's reaction genuinely confused me on the first go, before I read that description.

Why would she need proper combative magic, though? Simple constraint seems like it would be enough for most criminals, and Equestria seems to be at peace for the moment. Yes, Tirek, Discord and the guys will appear later on, but they haven't been around for 1000+ years. Equestria seems to have little concern, if any at all, for the Storm King. The only proper threat I can think of is Chrysalis, but based on the lackluster precautions, they don't seem to have had too much bother with the Changelings. I guess she could be training just in case some ancient evil returns, but, if I may pull out my Tolkien English, their power is vast, far beyond the thoughts of men and elves. One unicorn, no matter how well trained, won't take down Tirek

I don't see anything unusual here, there are plenty of people like him in the net unfortunately. Wouldn't be surprised if he did controversial acts primarily for publicity, so bringing more attention to him can be counterproductive if you don't agree with his position.
And if he does abuse animals (and is moronic enough to put the evidence online) then he'll be persecuted by the law, there will always be people who see it and report it to the authorities.
