Unfinished 3D animation of Lightning's gunblade. Done for my 3D class. LOL Yes, I am that obsessed.Spent hours and hours making every single part of that fuckin' gunblade. But figuring out how it transforms from a blade to a gun...*sigh* MY BRAIN IS GONE
Done with Blender. Yay for free stuff.

this is really nice, are you gonna try the bow-blade? looking at pictures of it, it seems like the design is different on each one LOL. feels kind of impossible to replicate the bow-blade.

Out of all the references I have for the gunblade, this is honestly the best one. I want to recreate it, but I had absolutely no idea how to make it transform. This helps A LOT. Its still a tad confusing (because its incredibly mind-blowing... darn you Nomura...) but this helps a lot.

It's been torture over here, but my goal is to pull together a full Lightning costume
the only thing I need so far (( Just to know it's there/ ssites that sell what I'm looking for )) is a gunblade and holster
it would be neat to find a gunblade that transforms, but impossible x__x

Anyway...I guess it is kinda impossible. But I did saw someone on youtube who's making a transforming one and she's doing quite well. It just takes a lot of time to transform it from a blade to a gun...

Either way -- the gunblade and holster combination that seems remotely good costs 360$ as a flat rate

after this year's con (And seeing if I can order in a Fang figure from this comic shop in town), I'll be starting to save up for the costume

lol hmm...i suggest you get the wig first. You can use it again if you decided to cosplay a different character with strawberry blonde hair. Just my suggestion though.

There is absolutely no way that gun could actually fire anything, and I have no idea what the blade is sliding along to achieve that position, BUT WHO CARES ABOUT REALITY WHEN YOU HAVE A FULLY-TRANSFORMABLE GUNBLADE?! Plus there's no way that I could do anything like that, on Blender or otherwise, so pay no attention to the critic.
