Description
Drew this after watching "Inception", the mind-blowing epic by Christopher Nolan. The commercials, the reviews, nothing quite does it justice. Go see it for yourself. If you already saw it, you know the power of this piece. This is my reality, my idea of the end.It's not my place to entirely decide the truth, but this is how I would prefer things to work out.
Again, unless you see the movie, you have no idea.
I believe the totem fell.

I can't believe so much of our interpretation rides on a top. And others say we can't trust the top, either. Damn...this ending is beyond genius.

By the way, there is something in the movie that proves you're right about the end, dunno if you saw it or not...
But if you watch closely, the top was Mall's totem, not Cobb's; his totem was his alliance, and he only wore it when he was dreaming. In the last scene, he isn't wearing it, so he is not dreaming.
So that's a happy end!

Oh God. DO NOT, ever, wish for sequels to genius movies. The sequel is never as good as the original, especially if you become a die-hard fan. Just let a movie that MADE IT alone, do not give it a new chance to suck.
Anyhow. I also believe the ending was a dream because the kids look the same as in his memories. Same clothes and same age.

But if I believe in Nolan's capacity, then I would give him a new chance to suck all the odds, and make a wonderful movie. But I don't know what plot. Haha
Same ages, I cannot defy. But, same clothes, I wear my clothes and reshuffle the pattern on the next week- probably. Gaaaaaaaah. What an amazing movie. Haha

It wobbled so that means it would most likely fall.
I know tops and when tops start to wobble it means that it's losing momentum. The reason why it spun so nicely for a couple of seconds was because he probably spun it too hard. LOL

Wobbling doesn't mean falling. Hellooo remember weebles? They weeble and wobble but they won't fall down 
I don't believe it fell. I believe it kept spinning and not only did it cut to black to keep you wondering, but also to not wreck the perfect illusion of happily ever after. I don't think it's some elaborate scheme where the entire thing was Cobb's dream and mal is actually alive. No I believe she died and everything REALLY happened, but I think in the end, Cobb didn't wake up. He was still in limbo because as I remember, wouldn't he have had to hit all the kicks to get back to reality like Ariadne and Fischer had to do? I think it was the solution Cobb's subconscious came up with for a happy ending because his one true motivation was to get to see his kids again, not to stay with mal who he knew was dead. As for Saito, he died and old man in Limbo, so I'm not entirely sure where that leaves him. In the snow fortress? Actually dead? perhaps he made it out? I'm not sure about him. This is just my theory

A weeble isn't a top. Its shape isn't even the same. Also I don't remember weebles;
But I looked it up and the egg shape is what prevents it from falling over.
Actually I think it fell since he said in his dreams he could never see the face of his children. His children were his true totem. But you are subject to your own belief.

and that's what I thought too. He could never see them in his memories, but then again they were part of the reason I think he was dreaming and that ultimately in the end, it doesn't matter. He didn't care whether he was dreaming or not because all he wanted to do was be a father and raise his kids. I think THAT was the ending. Because we weren't the only ones who were left not knowing, I think Cobb decided not to find out. He did spin it, but left it on the table to go meet his kids because that was his motive for doing the job. To be with his kids again.
