cleaned it up a lot and worked on the arms and set a basic shape for the chest.Any preferences for the head?

i reiterate what i said about standard poses. this looks like an in-between-action.
perspective on the feet is good, but the armor on the left leg needs to be at more of an angle.
you have a mixing of styles here. the lower legs, feet, and forearms look like they belong to a different mech than the rest of it (actually, the arms seem to be of a different style than even the legs).
so far your torso doesnt really convince me that its 3 dimensional, and the hands look over simplified compared to the amount of detail on other extremities.
your joints are good, and where you have gone into detail it feels like objects have good weight.

scanning and editing out the upper body is always an option, but in doing that I would cement the lower body restricting it from any further alterations.

You have to realize that this whole thing started when I got an idea for legs. I know what you mean about the other parts not fitting in with them, I have that feeling myself. However, a drawback about using pencil and paper is that I can only erase so many times before the paper begins to wear. Do to this, the amount of adjustments I can perform on the upper body are limited.
