Description Drawing done for my little cousin.

Took about 7hrs and drawn with pencil crayons. I wanted to do more but my black pencil crayon kept on breaking every time I'd try sharpening it.

I kind of like it without a background even. It gives a sense of light being drawn to the creature.

This peice is truly awesome . I like drawing fur but I'm not entirely sure why. Have you got any pinters on drawing fur?

lol. I don't have much pointers for you except patience! It takes a long time because if you want it to look natural, you have to make sure all the strokes follow the same direction along the contours of the animal's body. Also keeping the pencil crayon sharp is important.

Glad you like it

Yea I'm aware that it takes a long time to do coloured pencil pics so now sweat . Thanks for the pointer about drawing fure, I did know something about that but it's generally looking at work like yours that I get more of an idea of how to actually replicate fure on paper. What do you mean by pencil crayon? Is it a mix of the two or just one?

I think there are many ways to call it. I call it pencil crayons, but others call it colored pencils? They are by no way crayons...I won't be able to do the fine texturing if it were.

Good luck with your artwork! look forward to seeing it

Oh ok I'm with ou now. Yes I use coloured pencil a lot as well but not as good as you but I promise I will be one day when I have worked so hard my fingers will have permanent pencil shaped indentations in them lol.

Thank you and I will be sure to show you some of my new work if that's ok with you.

Lol it's not the hours that count but the outcome You impress me with your patience in your drawing. I have a tendency to lose my inspiration if I don't finish in a given amount of time.

That's a very good drawing. I enjoy the detail you put into the fur. The only improvement to suggest would be some sort of background to go with it!

Tsoi In reply to Zen00 [2009-05-19 04:56:40 +0000 UTC]

Yes I'd agree with the background thing, but I was pretty tired of drawing after 7hrs lol I have poor attention span =____=

I've never really sat down for a 7 hour span and drawn, so better than me.
