Danielle had allowed him to pick the music for their first dance, so he'd picked a song that she had sung to him incessently in those early days, back when they used to be nothing but teasing and longing. Back before Constance, when his eyes had matched her's in color, if not shade. Back when he was still broken, but mending.

Danielle had asked over and over what he'd picked, she was eager to find out what his first Dressage routine would be to. He'd kept his lips firmly sealed, and the woman looked like she was going to pop her ears off when she mounted up beside him on Song. She was straining so hard to hear the opening melody.

When the song started he saw her falter, and her eyes misted over. She smiled through it, eyes only for him, and the lyrics played them through their dance.

When they were walking Duncan and Song back to the trailors she let the tears show, swiping at them furiously.

"You're a jerk." she said happily.

He laughed. "I know." he said. "I still say you sing it better."

She kissed him then, unnexpectedly, dropping Song's reigns and sweeping her arms around him. He smiled.

Do you know how hard it is to look at a ref for a picture on your phone? Cuz it's pretty damn hard. And I recolored this at least three times, because my computer kept crashing. I'm sooo happy with it though <3 Wish us luck!
