Gonna be honest this doesn't really scream electric vibe to me, every pikaclone had at least a bit of yellow, even pachirisu with the cheeks, mb try something like that?
Having said that the synapse thing is clever af but implemented in a subtle way kinda like classic Pokemon which works really well

Great design! I wonder if the colour scheme is a bit more on the 'normal' type side though? As in, I wouldn't know it was electric at a glance, if that makes sense?
