Description
Well here it is, after making me half-way mad and after so much time, here it is, completed with an installer and an intro. My 20th AVS pack, called functions, it is a pack that took me into the world of loops & megabufs, things i was practically dead-sure i would never learn. So is one erroneous in his assumptions...
Hope you enjoy the pack, even if it is old by todays standards.

intro-classy and funny...why waste a good thing?
+++++++++++++-i love these style presets, ive got a good idea for one, no idea how do it but.
av(s)atar-unique idea. i dig this.
slash spiral-the fadeout and background give this preset a sharp touch. great.
cube spectrum-another classic, definetly the standards i would expect from tuggummi.
kill visbot-this prest didnt work for me, just the background, maybe a mixing bmp or something. (my computer is well fried after all)
blob me silly-i was watching this thinking yea, this is slick, nice, smooth and fast-then suddenly it changed! instant gold!
flash design-haha, very flash. reminds me of zamuz's presets.
lost and found-them superscopes are pretty fricken flashy. i like, i like.
toothpaste commercial-insane colour schemes, once again, reminds me of a zamuz preset
sexy objects 3-some-very sexy indeed. great colours and fade out technique.
Biomechanica-perfect.
shredder-an intresting enough preset, but ive never liked the colour red. just personal taste, i guess.
sound tube-very simple. yet, oh so classy.
razor blades III-the background makes this preset. the superscope edges look a bit dodgy.
flurries-yadayada,yoyo-yoda? well, anyway. reminds me of a book i had when i was little, remember those one you stared and a 3D image would come out? i love flowy presets. great colours to.
the evil machine-its a very skupers style preset, to bad he's not avsing as much as he use to.
the alternate alpha blending is a neat trick
why does it always rain on me?-very well synced and designed. i love the raindrops
billboard's top 40-diffrent. i like the off center texer and the shadow effect
frost spikes-killer style.
little buggers-good, earthy colours and texer design. amphirion comes to mind here...hmm.
twin glow-you said yourself, not exactly high tech, but makes for a nice, cruisy preset. perfect for the mood im in.
eye strain strings-my favourite from the pack. after reading your comment, my left eye did start to hurt. i dont know if i was imagining things or if avs was destroying my retinas.
weaving gold strings-looks like the sunset im looking at now (im sitting on my front lawn hehe)
here here little jellyfish-jellyfish suck. i got stung by one when i was 13. never again.oh, nice preset.
very calm, alot like the ocean...oviously enough.
to expect anything less from this pack would be a sin.
smooth styles mixed with original preset ideas....
you never sease to amaze me.

My favorites:
Intro: *grinning*
Toothpaste Commercial: Enchanting preset.
The Evil Machine: Cool 'n futuristic style, that's how I like it . Unfortunately, I'm not too keen on the DM.
Frost Spikes: Spectrum doesn't fit the background imo, but the latter is very beautiful, makes me wanna dream O.o
Twin Glow: Decent analyzer. Simple and relaxing.
Here here little Jellyfish: Weird music response, but the jelly-thingy is sooo cute! Background 'n bubbles are nice too
My favorites don't include the Kill Visbot preset. Reminds me too much of my own game, which I'm now sick of playing with.
Okay, so this pack doesn't really kick my ass (again, due to my realism passion). However, I enjoyed this pack much more than a lot of other "hip & in" packs, mainly due to your fresh and jovial style. Plus, it has some nice and agreeable overall feeling on it. All in all: Decent, versatile pack.
Btw, congrats on your 20th "AVS birthday"!

Slick. A pretty outstanding pack of presets, technically good and some good olde fashioned eye candy at the same time. I especially like the attention you pay to actually making some advancements in sound reactiveness ( an oddly ignored aspect of a lot of music ) in presets like 'sound tube' and 'biomechanica'. tbh the pack does feel like a bit of mash-up of effects overall, I'm not saying any of the individual presets are bad (in fact there ain't one... which is as rare, because of the nature of AVS packs) - the pack as a whole feels like one big experient in technique. Its a damn cool experiment, but in an ideal world I would have liked to have seen a little more of that cold Tuggi style which comes out in presets like 'toothpaste Commercial' and 'Eye Strain Strings'. My fav presets have to be 'here here little jellyfish' and 'sound tube'... just freeking sweet.
Peace
zen-x
PS good to see that dildo has left your avatar.

Obligatory biggass review:
Intro - some color on the scope would've been nice.. Thanks for mentioning me
+^15 - I thought: This smells so nemo-ish.. Read the comment and was right looks cool tho. Perhaps some trails for the plusses?
Av(s)atar - w00t you can fly nice as a techdemo as you said yourself .Is this the same bg thing as +++++++++++++++?
Slash Spiral - teh goth
Cube Spectrum - The idea is beaten to death, the design is minimalistic and the colors so subtle you can hardly tell what colors they are
Kill Visbot - die die DIEEEEEEE
Blob Me Silly - A fun preset, that's all that's needed.
Flash Design - I like the onbeat greyscale screencapture
Lost and Found - pure Sexayness
Toothpaste commercial - For the record: I don't use red toothpaste. I like [link] , though. Good preset.
sexy objects threesome - Colors are good, the background is just a bit meh-ish
Biomechanica - tentacles!!! good preset for lounge music.
Shredder - Always makes me think of the teenage mutant ninja turtles instead of Mario. Dunno why because I like Mario better.
Sound Tube - Too much code for a simple Jellotube
RazorbladesIII - the return of the gothic presets - This one looks better though.
Flurries - My teeth hurt.. Don't make me bite my monitor again, will you! - I love this kind of your presets best I think
The Evil Machine - Good. Don't know what to say more.
Why does it always rain on me - //puts arm around his sholder.
Billboard top 40's - So what does the title have to do with the preset?
Frost spikes - I love the stars in the bg, even though it's rather static
Little buggers - eermyeah... colors?
Twin glow - nice in it's kind but not overwhelming
Eye strain things - You can watch it for a while as long as you don't try to follow them. Perhaps you had better slown it down a bit (not too much though)
Weaving golden threads - Why the water effect was created looks good.
Here here, little jellyfish - I miss Gary and Spongebob I love that water effect
Overall rating.. Do I need to? hmm 4.6 for the lesser presets

Heh. Came here first time in a month and the first thing me third eye sees is another "eterhal quitter"s pack. Normally the odds would be the same as the woman i went to bed with saturday evenyng looked same good and weighted the same as it did in the evening /damn alchohol, i quit/. Well i may be late a few days and my logics a bit off the road /i am still shaken, since last sunday morning, worried about tonigt (damn i must quit this thing)/ Well shot, mate, i've been writing here without a point for some time. Well i saw somewhere you mention about some standards and stuff. Well i cannot judge this, i come here once in a month or so, see a few good packs, all i see i don't understand, so my standars are pretty low /well we can't always blame
on this/. Still, this is among the best i've seen in the last month /well don't get cocky, it's the only new thing i've seen in month/. Colors were good, reaction was great but code was BAD. Hehe kidding, didn't want to even look at it as i wouldn't understand a thing and dream nightmares and midnight urine leakage and who knows what have to drink to "wave em off, yeah", but i suppose it's ok. Actually few of these are ideas i've had before but din't have the time/knowledge/NERVE to make. Many of these resembled in style some Nemo's masterpieces, but still, yer own personality here. Well, mate, this is the pack of the month for me, no need for more arguments. Cheers, lads. Have a nice December.

I was just about to say, "WTF?! Haven't I seen this before?" After reading your journal the other day, I thought I might have sneaked onto your HD and stolen this pack. But then when I downloaded this, it is different. Anyway, so I will just comment on the new ones as well:
- Twin Glow: Sweet! I'm a big analyzer junkie, so this certainly rocks my socks.
- Eye Strain Strings: Well, the name certainly fits, I can't watch it for too long with loud music. But on softer music, this is pretty damn nice. I want to eat the background, it looks fucking tasty.
- Weaving Golden Threads: I don't really like this one as much, there's just something about it. I guess in agreement with Pak, it is a bit repetative.
- Here here little Jellyfish: This has a nice aura to it, but it's not as smooth, in it's appearance as well as it's movements, as I would like to see it. It's a cool idea, but I think I still like Raz's jellyfish much better.
All in all, it's still a very nice pack. In fact, I thought it was finished the last time, so I was quite surprised to see it released again, even with the new additions.

Another remarkable acheivement here. All these presets are so slick and functional and responsive and everything else we've come to enjoy about your work. Another must have pack. That intro got a good laugh out of me as well. And I don't know if this is just my comp, but Biomechanica doesn't have any little circles. Or at least the those Texer IIs don't have any code in the Point textbox.
π: 0 β©: 3
tuggummi In reply to nemoorange [2005-12-07 11:15:07 +0000 UTC]
Hey, i actually lost the circles once too!
Try this for a size: Open up biomechanica, then close down AVS and start it again.
This made it work for me after the disappearing, it now seems i've forgotten to reset some variable(s), but since it works 80% of the time i can't be bothered to "fix" it.
π: 0 β©: 0
tuggummi In reply to nemoorange [2005-12-02 07:22:26 +0000 UTC]
Just occured me btw. There isn't suppose to be any code in the point box of those texers, all of code resides in the frame box, because they are all 1 point texers anyway.

tuggummi In reply to nemoorange [2005-12-02 06:29:02 +0000 UTC]
You're not the only one with the problem on biomechanica, quite frankly i don't understand why does it do that even, it works for me and i've done several testings on it, all succesful.
π: 0 β©: 1
TomyLobo In reply to tuggummi [2005-12-02 07:09:45 +0000 UTC]
problem is: there are a lot of empty texers in there which have edge-only circles as texer images...
my suggestion is that you copy the code of all of them to a neat place, delete them and re-insert them

pak-9 [2005-12-01 22:07:53 +0000 UTC]
Well, I commented on the old one so I'll just comment the new ones:
Twin Glow - could be optimised a little more but other than that pretty nice, looks very cool with certain music
Eye Strain Strings - very cool, nice colours, fun to watch
Weaving Golden Threads - a little too repetative for me
ere here little Jellyfish - I love the background, the movement of the jellyfish is a bit erratic but its still a cool preset
overall: I'm glad you finished up the pack properly, it still would have been nice to see some remixes but I guess I cant complain. I've got used to most of the presets but its still a very good pack
π: 0 β©: 1
tuggummi In reply to pak-9 [2005-12-02 07:39:41 +0000 UTC]
The reactions are just as erratic as your music is, you should know that by now
Good songs to go with the jellyfish preset:
McVaffe - Super Mario 64 Liquid Mario
Joshua Morse - Mario Kart 64 Frappe Cafe Vibe
Dragonlord - Mega Man Zero 2 Cool Mind
Disco Dan - Mega Man 2 BubbleMan(wantstoget)FunkedUp
Gux - Ducktales The Amazon Session
