I had a lot of fun while doing this, especially with the background patterns. Too bad the center part is mostly covered by the lights, but there's no helping it, I guess.

The texture I used on the fingers belongs to .

For the transition between leathery and normal skin and on the lower parts of the fingers (barely visible) I used brushes made by .

These are the three kinds of aether (or "magical energy" if you want) used in the Genesis.

The first is golden aether. It makes up absolutely everything - your flesh and bones, the air you breathe, the ground you walk on, the thoughts you're thinking, the time that's passing and, most importantly, Saa [link] . Your own Saa being in your possession is a requirement for wielding any kind of aether and thus grants the power to bend reality to your will - if you're skilled enough, of course.

Dark aether can be used to accomplish every task one could possibly think of, like its golden sibling. However, all that is made from it suffers from inherent corruption. No matter how noble your intentions, using dark aether will cause more harm than good in the long run. Although it's not like anyone who'd use it had something even remotely resembling "noble intentions".

Mind aether at last governs the subconscious realm. Its use is considered an exotic art with little to offer. However, those who have mastered it can actually gain great power. They enter the dreams of others at will and manipulate them as they see fit and can plant irresistible suggestions and orders only detectable by their rare fellow practitioners, to name but a few of their abilities.
