Realistic Shaded, Frame-Breaker Background Commission for , featuring Clyde, the lightning dragon!
This piece in particular is the upgraded version of a Sketch Commission I completed this past fall! It's always fun to revisit and see Sketches to their completion, especially Sketches that I really liked, and this was one of them! I was sooo excited when Savrin wanted it upgraded, and to a fully colored and shaded version, nonetheless! I wanted to make this extra epic, channeling the intensity of the original sketch into the directed lightning and high contrasting shading and lighting effects.

THIS PRETTY MUCH CAME OUT BETTER THAN PERFECT FOR THE IDEA I HAD FOR IT. I LOVE ALL OF CLYDE'S LIGHTNING AND THE STORM LOOKS AMAZING. I LOVE THE STORM CLOUDS AND THE RAIN. THE ATMOSPHERE IS GREAT FOR THIS PIECE BECAUSE CLYDE LOVES THUNDERSTORMS AND FLYING IN THEM. I LOVE ALL THE ATTENTION TO DETAIL YOU DID FOR THIS. THINGS LIKE HIS MUSCLES AND LITTLE SCALES AND THE REALISTIC WINGS TOO!! I LOVE THE ANATOMY FOR THIS AND THE COLORING IS GORGEOUS!! THE LIGHTING IS BEAUTIFUL!!
