His younger self literally says he was starting to become comfortable with presenting as male BEFORE the accident, and that current Natani occasionally acting/dressing feminine doesn't negate his identity as male. I don't understand how people constantly reference that scene to mean the opposite of what it was communicating.

Natani is transgender, I just think that Tom went about the wrong way of portraying it in the past and made the effort to clarify it better as it now currently stands in the comic. I mean, he openly states that he identifies as a man and wants everyone else to see him as one, he just confused his gender dysphoria as a curse brought about by the soul bind since he didn't know what else he could call it.

It starts pretty rough, like, extremely 2003 animu style at the start, but its actually pretty cute and fun down the line and the characters grow on you.
Also thanks for being cool and understanding, a lot of the fans have pretty vitriolic responses when it comes to confusion surrounding Natani's identity.
