texture by euphoricdesire-stockthis. took. waaaaaaay too long.
mostly background practice so please lay off the characters. i know they are technically the focus of the piece but i didn't make the file big enough so I couldn't give them the detail they deserved. sorry guys
also, if anyone is interested, i took tons of progress shots and will post them on my blog! well....once i actually get my blog. but that's happening SOON!

It's alright if they're not the focus of the piece- HTTYD seems to have been an inspiration for many to work on their backgrounds. This is lovely, by the way. Absolutely adorable~

This is gorgeous! The flatness and bright colors gives it a very storybook-like feeling, and really lets the feeling if peace and nostalgia flow. I love pictures like these with Hiccup and Toothless

its like this is what Hiccup would do when Astrid's away for a while maybe on a hunting trip. And Toothless would just sit there on a tree, minding the breeze, watching over his rider... basically both are just doing nothing.
