“The region that was once central Mexico has now been enveloped in an unruly jungle, the culprit is no other than Chicomecōātl herself. First emerging in the year 2022 near Mexico City, the titanic insect began work on terraforming the area in massive jungle. Luckily with few injuries and fewer casualties civilians were evacuated from the kaiju’s cultivation but in return cause populations in the outer boarders of Mexico to rise, with that immigration conflict with countries (most noticeably the United States) rose with it.
Nowadays the entirety of Central Mexico has become massive jungle system dubbed “Jungla de la Madre”. Despite her cataclysmic debut Chicomecōātl is one of the most passive kaiju recorded, often ignoring any human activity unless provoked. Because of this researchers often go on expeditions within the jungles, making observations that Chicomecōātl releases a high amounts of ammonia-like substance that causes rapid plant growth. Corporations have been potential in profit with that and often tried obtain samples of the substance, but would require mass excavation of the ground and damage to the forest. This would result in the wrath of the All-Mother. Chicomecōātl has also birth several offspring through asexual reproduction like that with Skadi or Feng Popo, these larva often roam the surround area of their mother’s nest and feed off the trees of the jungles. DNA samples also show the kaiju share related with the late Thantos, poetic and ironic the Goddess of Life is a sibling to the God of Death.

The observation of Chicomecōātl resemblance to that of a caterpillar and other larval forms of insects lead to many theorizing that this may not be the final stage of the All-Mother’s life.... “
