Description
Just a random idea for a comic book style super villain, not an actual evil villain but a rather pissed off fiend. Her primary visual characterization and gimmick is self explanatory, in fact the whole headless body/bodiless head aspect is what brought about this character idea in the first place. This character is one of my OCs but she has really nothing to do with my Tyrranux Universe or Destiny Factor series. Her (actual last) name is a reference to something in partiicular, take a guess at what^-^._____________________________
Doctor Garfield Mombi Langwidere, a rather twisted scientist who would go so far as to use his own eighteen year old daughter Reiko as a guinea pig to finallize his mad dream of immortality through cybernization. For almost her whole life he has been a very negletful father, not even seeing any value in her very existence, not until after he later found that her genes were an ideal catalyst for stabilized cybernization.
And then came the nerely fatal cervical spinal injury that was resulted from a horrific train accident. Rendered completely helpless by tetraplegia [link] , she could do nothing as her father proceeded to test his prototype cybernization system on her very spine and neck, claiming it would cure her. But as you might have guest, it backfired and ultimately severed her entire head from her body, rendering her a literal living head. It is at this point that the US Army has actually stumble upon the madness and arrested the mad doctor, taking Reiko under custody hoping to find a way to reverse the horrible experiment. They even provide her with a substitute mechanoid body to help her cope with her condition...
...but she uses that temporary vessel to break out and seek out her father...and use his own faulty cybernization technology to murder him in cold blood.
From that day foreward she has devoted her life to taking her father's work and corrupting it, twisting it into a horrific weapon that can only destroy all in it's wake. The ultimate revenge against the very father who only saw value and worth in his daughter as a mere science experiment. The world itself is unfortunately the bigger victim of her campaign of ultimate revenge against her father.
Turns out that much like her father she too is an accomplished scientific genius, able to utilize and even improve her father's cybernization technology, using it to lead a rather infamous career of super villainy as the mad scientist "Dullahan". Umong her crimes against the world include the following;
-Kidnapping a few of the most famous female model celebrities and severing their heads through cybernization, just to add their headless bodies to her collection, using these bodies for her own personal use as vessels.
-Gathering vast groups of innocent civilians and infecting them with a strange rage virus that turns any infected into rabid voracious animals, then severing their heads and using cybernization to turn the heads into literal floating Nukekubi [link] .
-Copying the raw genetic material of the entire US Marines Core to create an armada of Headless Knight Clones to lay siege on third world countries in an attempt to stir up national turmoil.
-Using her cybernization technology to completely render the faces of hundreds of people in several southern states completely blank, no eyes, no noses, no mouths and especially no ethnicity what so ever, claiming it to be a radical method to end racism in the southern states.
As you might have guessed, she has a thing about heads/faces (mostly heads), in fact much of her technology, vehicles and additional weaponry take on the form and appearance of bodiless heads (often humanoid, sometimes demonic looking).
Even as a bodiless head she is quite a formitable and dangerous foe, her cyborg components including not only the four insectoid legs (with super magnetic talons for scaling walls and ceilings) but also a pair of serpentine tentacles that come equipped with multi-tool pincers used as her very "hands", she also has a high output anti-gravity engine for sustained flight and emergency thrusters for quick manuvering. Her primary vessel is the Exobod, a sentient headless body that is equipped with several internal super human combat systems and concealed laser energy-based weaponry, also includes the ionizer tomhawk blade for weapon-based melee confrontation. Among the many vessels she uses include gigantic robotic mech heads that are pretty much hovering tanks armed to the teeth with insane firepower (for when she just wants to go ballistic).

A perfect way to adapt a ancient myth of death towards the 21st century.

Ummmmm, not long actually. Like a few days at most. Lately I've been intrigued by the whole headless girl/bodiless head thing, not the gory morbid stuff but just stuff like this; [link] , [link] , [link] , [link] It just intriqued me so much that I felt I had to do like my own Dullahan character.

You do know that a Dullahan is pretty much the messanger of death, right?
I mean, carrying with him a whip made from a human spine, riding a funeral cart, and splattering a bucket of blood on anyone who is watching him work.
Hey, a whip would make a good weapon for her.

Yes, I know what the Dullahan is^-^.
Basically the actual name "Dullahan" is just a reference the mythological spectre in question, as her actual name Langwidere references that one princess from the third Oz book "Ozma of Oz", the one who can take off her head and change it with a different one out of a whole collection of heads. It's just a word the reference her primary gimmick of being nothing more than a detachable head.

I'd like to see that.
She's not headed for the Terry/Virus canon?

Actually no, in fact I have this idea for a Superhero series called "Z". It's about this kid super soldier named Z who can freeze time for a few seconds who was once part of an elite government developed super hero team known as the Imperials, the team itself has become corrupt and Z feels he no longer can be a part of their team, striking out on his own and becoming an infamous vigilante. One of the storylines I had in mind was that Ultra Man (a raher jaded and grizzly Superman architype character) is brutally murdered by the Imperials who claim he has gone rogue, but Z knowing the truth decides to go on a bloody campaign to kill all of the Imperials once and for all.
