Y'know, I had a similar joke that Wooloo makes the design of Mareep look racist since Wooloo is white and Mareep is yellow. (A very old and sadly still used racist term for Asian and Vietnamese people is to say that they're yellow)

At Nintendo headquarters they must have a series of boxes with pictures of different types. One box for animals, one for elements, one for objects and one for words. The bigwigs eachΒ extract one picture from each and mix them up to get the design of the pokemon, then search the streets for a drunken,suicidal salary man and have him read every one of their words, thus giving their new creation a name. Every few generations they add a new box with different pictures because they start repeating themselves.Β
