Description Phorusrhacids - carnivorous flightless birds that were the dominant predators in South America during the Cenozoic era.

Such appearance of these birds were designed by Zdenek Burian, Czech painter and palaeontological reconstructor.

Nice work. The subtle coloration of the "black" plumage is great, as is the impressionist style. A beautiful and believable landscape, and some very scary birds.

Some kind of South-American ungulates, I guess. Unfortunately I haven't enough materials about Cenozoic South-American fauna, and if I'll find useful book about it, then I'll try to draw something more realistic. And yes, thanks for the fave. ^_~
