So this took me like 3-4 days D: SOOO much writing on the sheet and that's not even all of it! I hope you guys like the new Eli as much as I do!

Mask:

Elijah’s mask is made of oak tree wood, durable, but not indestructible. The details have been painted with a navy blue paint over a white coating; this white coating reflects the moons light at night and creates a “glow” effect. He was masked at 21 by an anonymous human and Linx, he prefers not to wear his mask, taking it off whenever he can.

Mouth:

Elijah’s mouth is a very light, pale fleshy colour. He prefers to keep his mouth very clean, which means no eating out of the dirt or rotten carcasses.

Facial appearance:

Elijah’s face is very long, thin and elegant due to his exotic category; Elijah prefers to have his mask off, to let the air brush through his fur and to let others see the marking on his skin. Under his 3rd eye He has somewhat of a tattoo- instead of using ink in the traditional way, he asked a human to burn the word “Love”, in Arabic, just beneath his 3rd eye, a symbol of what he believes in, they then painted it over in the colour of his fur, although the mask more often than not hides it. Elijah’s horns have been spattered with paint, to create a “stars in the galaxy” effect, he often star gazes and dreamt to have the same beauty on his bare horns.

Assets:

Elijah’s small build allows him to excel in speed and flexibility along with the shape and build of his horns. His horns are grown in such a way that they somewhat resemble that of a professional cyclist’s, allowing him to become more aero-dynamic, increasing his speed tenfold- also allowing his appearance to become more “stream-lined”.

He also has somewhat of a tattoo- instead of using ink in the traditional way, he asked a human to burn the word “Love”, in Arabic, just beneath his 3rd eye, a symbol of what he believes in, they then painted it over in the colour of his fur, although the mask more often than not hides it.

With light having two main categories- Basic lighting creation and manipulation (the harder of the two to learn) and energy, Elijah is mastering in Energy as it has more abilities such as basic lighting creation and manipulation, Illusions (similar to mirages in Air elements) and Aurora (this elements type of healing ability).

In combat, Elijah uses his speed and agility to distract or out run the opponent, but If need be he uses extremely bright flashes of light to temporarily blind and disorient the target and/or opponent, allowing Elijah to sneak up on them and clamp their flesh in his jaws. Elijah’s physical strength may not be his biggest asset, but his jaws are strong and his teeth are sharp and allow him to tear through flesh and bone in an instant. He also tends to use his Illusion ability by mimicking that of the opponent’s loved one to confuse them, lulling them into a false sense of security.

In the Darkblood hierarchy, Elijah is an accomplished information gather, or in slang terms, a ‘spy’, ‘rat’ or ‘mole’. He gathers much needed information and secrets from all around Elaisha and then goes to pass it onto Linx to report back to the leaders of the Darkbloods.

Personality:

As a pup, Elijah was hyper-active, fidgety and over-excitable, causing innocent havoc wherever he went. But, he was also a very obedient and cautious pup, who always listened to his mother; “All in the eyes of Daila” she used to say. Elijah’s parents were strict Daila followers; therefore, he was brought up to believe in only the ways of Daila. But when his parents were killed at the young age of 19, not only did his life drastically change, but so did his personality. Elijah became nervous and would suffer from paranoia attacks, but this didn’t make him weak and submissive like expected, instead, he retained a snappy attitude and a mouth for insults.

The boy became stubborn and couldn’t care less about orders and rules established by his fake ‘mother’, Linx, often replying with the most used sentence in the book; “You’re not my real mother, you can’t tell me what to do!” But as he grew more comfortable with Linx, his personality and attitude changed once more, he became almost like a soldier, becoming loyal to his ‘mother’ and the Darkbloods, obeying without any questions asked. Today, Elijah preserves his once aggressive behaviour and instead, has grown to become a very sweet, sensitive and kind-hearted young ‘Lai. He often “mellows-out” when alone and tries to make friends with other species; it’s not uncommon to stumble upon him trying to make friends with a frog, or even a snail.

As for his reaction around humans, he is still unsure about the adults, wondering cautiously around them, but when he sees the tiny ones he can’t help but play with them. He joins in on their chasing games and lets them ride on his back and lets their warm, sticky hands tug at his fur- it reminds him of when he was a pup. Elijah doesn’t wish to hurt anybody, but sometimes his orders are set to do so; he tries not to let the pain and guilt get to him, resulting in him often becoming solitary after a killing, separating himself from the outside world for a few days to recover.

He lived a normal yet wonderful pup-hood until the age of 19, still unmasked and not yet capable of using his element to his fullest without causing havoc; the young-blood still had a lot to learn until he was ready to receive his mask. Elijah's parents were strict Daila followers, thus why he couldn't be brought up to be anything else but a follower himself, and with that, the idea of Darkbloods stuck negatively in the young 'lai's heart. He travelled with his parents spreading the good word of Daila and establishing peace wherever and whenever they could.

One day when travelling through Kahali, the youngling and his parents came upon Darkblood territory and with that, they bumped in to Linx, one of the Darkblood 'Elites'. Elijah's parents attempted to ambush Linx, speaking of her as a disgrace to all Shinlai. Linx made quick news of the pups parents and tore them to shreds when they refused to submit, yet, when confronted with the youngling, she hesitated and let him off unharmed. But the death of Elijah's parents was imprinted in his mind and slowly started to eat away his happiness. Darkbloods were now evil in his eyes, weeks passed, and the youngling slowly started to starve.

The lack of knowledge and practise with his element caused him to become helpless towards any Shinlai or human that might approach him, and, since his parents hadn't taught him to hunt, his skill levels were at zero. As fate would have it, while trying to scavenge for food, he came across Linx once again. The pup instantly snapped at the female and refused to back down, constantly trying to attack her with his tiny jaws. He was wearing her patience thin; eventually she tackled the young pup and pinned him down. But something made her hesitate once more; perhaps the condition the pup was in, maybe his stubborn, snappy attitude or maybe even a maternal instinct. Whatever it was, it made her back-down in an instant, it made her think; maybe with time and patience, she could mould the pup to her likings. She let him free of her grasp and politely asked if he would like to join her. The male instantly declined her offer and went his own way...for about 5 seconds! Linx had gone back to her patrol, yet it seemed as if someone was tagging along.

The sneaky little pup had been following her over the course of a few days, despite her knowing he was obviously following her, the pup would still deny, yet tag along for anything he could scavenge to eat from her on the way. Finally, the little male accepted her invitation after his rant about 'how bad Darkbloods are’ that only happened because his stomach was at its limit. Linx took him under her wing and brought him back to good health, her little hidden secret, the pup she never had. She taught him everything, including how to manipulate his element, hunting game and even the language of some other species.

Slowly, the anger and hate in the little 'lai’s heart started to dwindle and eventually disappear; turning a 180º as this, apparently evil Darkblood, wasn't nearly as evil as the rumours had foretold. Finally, when she found him ready, she bargained with a human to make her 'pup' a mask, and masked him herself. At last, he was a truly a Shinlai, and, with the honour of his mask, came the love and loyalty towards his new 'mother' and the Darkbloods. Today, Elijah follows Linx whenever and wherever he can, despite her pushing him aside whenever she sees fit for his own protection. Elijah tries to be social whenever he can, but the lack of contact with Shinlai his age, and the oddities of his up-brining cause him to act oddly when around unknown Shinlai, fidgety and shifty even when he has nothing to hide. But through all this, he still strives to make as many friends as possible, perhaps even meet a girly-Lai’.
