There are shoes, boots and the like all on posts and the fencing surrounding the entire ranch. It's a superstition/tradition for some ranchers... wards off all bad luck... signifies personality... sets boundaries. Now it's habit and surrounding neighbors contribute their own shoes when then can.

ive seen hubcaps and hats so i guess shoes arent that far away, probably for the same kind of tradition reasons. still a lovely shot
