Commissioned piece for NewEnglander. His vampire character, Miranda, changes into her bat form for the first time... and doesn't even know it! This was a pleasure to do... not only are foods and wines a passion for me, but when he first brought up the idea, I had a vision of Miranda with a e___e face and couldn't stop laughing.
As you can see, Miranda is a vampire that enjoys some of the finer things in life, such as expensive wine. Speaking of... it's a good thing that she didn't drop the glass during her shift. At about $275,000 USD a bottle, she'd probably be very angry about that!
The world needs moar anthro bats!
NOTE: She's drinking out of a gold goblet rather then a wine glass only because I couldn't find a picture of that particular brand of wine that accurately showed it's color!

People with so much money that they don't know what to spend it on.
But seriously, some people will buy expensive things like this just to say that they did. There's a returant in New York that sells $1000 ice cream sundaes, and they actually sell better then you'd think considering the high price tags.

1000 bucks for Ice Cream? jeeze... and here I was thinking that paying as much as house for a gun was just as bad, the M134 Minigun to be precise, but than again, with something like that, you do get the "Seriously, get off my lawn" effect when it pops out of the big oak tree at an intruder (when you pay that much for just the gun, what's a couple thousand more for a fancy anti-intruder system built around it?).
Then there's the people that pay even more just to have a Ferrari, or even recently, a guy paid 750,000USD just to have the EXACT car used in 007 Gold Finger.
Rich people... have all this money and time... and have no clue what to do when they're board. *Nuke goes off in the distance*... see what I mean?

Well, I admit that I enjoy going to eat at nice resutrants every now and then. But even I think that a $1000 sundae is a bit... ah... overkill to say the least. For that much, the ice cream better have magical cancer healing properties. o_O
The worst I've ever heard is someone spending over $25,000 on a piece of toast that was half eaten by one of the members of N*Sync back when they were popular.

oh god... that better come with the DNA test to prove it... sheesh... like I said, rich people, have all this money and time, and nothing else to do when they're board. I can understand spending that much on things like rare cars, guns, clothing items, or even historic items, but I just can't see spending more than 150bucks a meal (which INCLUDES the wine, and the tip!)

Love the sequence and the "punchline" at the end!
One small typo I feel I should point out because I think it can be easily fixed: The "then" in her first speech bubble should be "than."

I probably should not worry, most of the bats in this world are not vampires.
Things got louder for her because she can now use echolocation.
Too bad I have a distaste for alcohol.
