Description This is an old Fakemon of mine. It's an evolution of Chimecho, a Pokémon that is so laughably mediocre that GameFreak decided to give it a pre-evo instead of an evo. (Wait, what?)

Although Chimerabel was never my most popular Fakemon, it has always been one of my favorites. The previous version had three bells atop its head, had green all over (making it look very vibrant in color), and had a separate mouth, something I did not even notice was Chimecho's bell line. Also, it is now part Ghost-type. Chimerabel is primarily based on windchimes (as is the case with Chimecho... I think?). Most windchimes, at least in America, have a "head" that you hang them by, and that connects to a wooden board that has several chimes tied to it. The blue ring that connects Chimerabel's chimes to its head is supposed to be analogous to the wooden board.

Anyway... the method to evolving Chimecho into this Pokémon is considerably less complex than last time, which could have easily constituted a gameplay mechanic in and of itself. Basically, level the Chimecho up to or beyond Lv36 while it is holding a new item called the "Bond Brace" (the blue ring Chimerabel sports). However, this will not work without also having a Chingling of any level in your party upon level up. When the evolution is complete, Chingling is gone, but you now have a Chimerabel!

Note that the name is partially "chimera". A chimera is a creature mish-mashed with various animal parts, but it can also refer to a fusion of something. In this case, a Chimecho with a Chingling.

But... what is it based on..? I know chingling was based on a shinto bell and chimecho on a furin (a wind bell sometimes made out of glass).
With that in mind, your fakemon doesn't really seem to fit in :V

It's a wind chime. Not quite exact, but I wasn't drawing from reference and I figured it'd be best to take a few liberties.

I make that comparison in the description:
[...] Most windchimes, at least in America, have a "head" that you hang them by, and that connects to a wooden board that has several chimes tied to it. The blue ring that connects Chimerabel's chimes to its head is supposed to be analogous to the wooden board.(Again, I took a few liberties)

Even though it isn't Japanese in origin, I feel the inspiration is perfect for the Chimecho line--why wouldn't the next step in the evolutionary line be having multiple Chimechos fused to a single unit? As a guy who grew up with wind chimes, it makes the most sense to me. Maybe there's some more detailed bell of Japanese origin that would fit better, but I never heard of it.
