Description
Β Every morning, at 10:08, theΒ local train from Brendam arrives at Wellsworth station. Today Andreas was hauling the local and came to the points that would bring him back as the poor coal caused him to wheeze.
"Blasted coal!" He shouted and his coaches wailed at him for his most foul language.
Andreas rolled his eyes and then saw a fast goods depart from the former W&S terminus, now a mere station under the NWR.
"I can't wait for this horrid war to be over. Then we can get better coal, rid ourselves of the silly notion that TIDMOUTH is a good terminus and restore Wellsworth to its rightful place, and get rid of this NWR and its poor locomotives!" He shouted. 105 cheekily whistled back as he was the only one who could hear the old engine. Andreas snarled and went on his way determined to see the end of the Mainlands efforts to bring Sodor under its heel.
(I just chose the E1 as possible contenders as they're good long-lived locos.
Andreas was named after the last king of Sodor. Incidentally, he is the last engine of the W&S.
Any thoughts on the livery? Based on the fact the S&M had green, TK&ELR had red, so I had the W&S parallel the blue livery.)

Quite an interesting scene, never really thought of the 8 engines being against the formation of the NWR right from the get go. Makes perfect Sudrian character sense really even without the bigger and new prototype invasion element. Β

Something I figured would be an issue for the railway engines and that people overlook Sodor is its own nation essentailly. So I decided to play with national pride (which is controversial today) as a reason for resistance (The NWR was an anti-Irish railway in its goals)

Yup.
Also, Im not trying to be anti-anglo.
I just imagine there were elements of Sudrian society that were angry with the formation of the NWR by the War Department despite the fact the three railways were heading there anyway.
