I admit, the effect has been around before but it lends itself for a simple character portrait. My followers know those two rather well by now, though Velkan again underwent a few minor changes to further underline his character and his Eastern European roots (on his mother's side of the family).
I'm really in love with their design now. They are equals, partners, lovers and a force to be reckoned with.
