Description

Jonathan and Velkan are sent into the Empty Quarter, the Rub 'al Khali desert, to investigate the source of strange satellite readings, earth tremors and last but not least the disappearance of a geologist and her research partner. The trip seems ill-fated from the start when the pair barely escapes a plane crash only to be separated in the endless ocean of sand.

Alone and fearing for the life of his boyfriend, Jonathan comes across a young Bedouin named Tariq who offers his assistance. Together they venture into the underworld beneath the scorching desert where ancient secrets are slowly coming back to life. Strange blue flowers grow in the dark and Jonathan soon finds himself tangled in a confusing web of alluring dreams. But who can he trust when even his mind is playing tricks on him?
