I decided to give Painter another shot, very different from photoshop but I kinda like the way the pixels "smear".
I'm pretty happy with the way this turned out, so I think I'm gonna do a small series of different drakes starting with this guy here. Thanks for looking/commenting

although i have both painter and photoshop as well, i prefer to use painter 'cause im not too good with photoshop yet

Really good! I like the posture...he looks like he will start to move every moment. I ยดll try to remember how you did the hind legs, I alway find those hard to do and the way you painted them contributes a lot to the impression of pent-up energy this creature gives.
Would have added some darker shadows though...they would give him some additional depth.
