well, the story goes that the seventh son of a seventh son will have "the sight"... I would guess that means like ESP or ability to see the future... but in my dad's family his youngest brother (the first seventh son) was only his half-brother... and he only had two kids, and only one was a boy... I'm not sure if seventh son means seventh child that is a boy, or only counts if you actually have seven boy children...if you have to have seven boy children and then the seventh one of those has to have seven boys too... it would be a pretty rare thing

oh yes I know... that is basically what happened to my grandmother on my mom's side, and we are trying everything to keep from having to put my mother in a home now...

well, my da and I both do all we can... sometimes she won't take her medication... that's one of the biggest problems

I really don't know... he has told her more than once that if she won't take her meds he will have to put her in a home, and that usually gets her to taking them again.
They don't really confer with me about stuff like that, mostly my older sister is the one they talk to about important stuff... I'm too much of a bum and a freak and an asshole to have valid opinions about anything

well, in some ways its my own fault too as I don't participate all that much in family activities... I'm basically a loner at heart. And as I have said before, my dad has this very low opinion of me, so probably thinks my input is not of any value

well, i was named for my dad and I think he always hoped i would be just like him... and while I am much like him in many ways, in other ways we are very different, and I don't think he ever forgave me for not being exactly what he wanted.
