Capricorn was like most of the merfolk and did not care for the land dwellers. one day during a storm she was beached ashore, she struggled but was unable to get a shore on her own. she grew weak under the sun and gave up, she rested for what she thought might be the last time

she was awoken by someone tugging on her tail. a small beaten up man manage to drag her by the beach. the man told her that he had fight of some hunters who were planing on gutting and skinning her.
to thank him she gave him a pearl that if he was ever in trouble she would help in anyway she could.
the man would later become Cancer.
