One great thing about working digitally is that it's immensely flexible with color. I have often made images which seem almost monochrome but contain an almost subliminally tiny bit of color, like this one: Failed Science . With the GIMP it's a matter of moving one or more sliders, while with real paint it would be a lot harder to achieve, or at least to experiment with. If I had a second life at my disposal, I would still probably learn to paint though. Because the real thing is just so much cooler
