Ta-da! I present to you my first official art piece of 2010, my seriously late ESS. I was assigned to =equinelove , and she wanted a picture of her "equisona", Stellar. It has taken me over a month, but I finally finished the darn thing, and now I can get around to those other pictures awaiting me!To Miss Equine Love, I am most terribly sorry to have taken so long. I hope you enjoy this, anyway. Better late than never, right?
And a very (belated) merry Christmas to you, hon.
P.S. I considered making a sunset in the beginning, but then I got to thinking, maybe I ought to try something a little different. I decided to have a little fun and try my hand at the "Northern Lights". As it turns out, I like it much better this way!

Thank you very much! I feel I do the mane and tail best when it comes to drawing horses; and hair is the most fun to draw overall, because you get to do pretty much whatever you like with it.

true, it's a nice free fall thing. Hair is definitely the fun part to draw, or long clothing because you can have the same effect with it

And I learned a useful tip for drawing hair, from "Spirit": big bits and little bits. The hair on "Enchanted" was also helpful.

I sure wish I had some ice cream handy. Well, I got a bit of spare change, and there is a small food store at my college campus. Maybe I could pick up myself an ice cream tomorrow. I know you can get Drumsticks, Creamsicles, and Fat Boys.

They're American ice cream brands; they're mighty, mighty tasty! I think I like Drumsticks best. They're vanilla scoops encased in solid chocolate and dunked in nuts, and the cones have a chocolate-lined interior. Sometimes the ice cream is chocolate, and sometimes it's vanilla fudge, which means it's vanilla surrounding a nice, gooey hunk of fudge!
