Description
I ran in the house with a brand new pumpkin,
My parents just shouted, "Where the heck have you been?"
"Oh," answered I, with an ear-to-ear grin,
"I just bought a pumpkin from the old pumpkin bin!
They looked at me like this was some kind of sin.
"Did you expect me to come with a blue violin?"
That's what I asked them, but they stuck up their chins
Saying, "Don't ever go out by yourself again."
"Fine then," said I, and I scratched at my skin,
Thinking, "My room looks like a dirty pigpen!"
So I ran to my room and put trash in the bin,
And placed other things in their proper tins.
I was getting sleepy, so I didn't begin
The homework assingment I was s'posed to turn in.
That following morning I really slept in,
And since I don't have any more good ideas this is the END.
