Oh, I LOVE this! Excellent tutorial and very entertaining (as always). I think we are kindred spirit painters (one reason I love oil paints to much β€” messy as hell and so expressive).

Now I am all excited and want to try this for myself. I don't have acrylic ink, but now I want to get some β€” and PITT brush pens? They sound cool.

Ta!

Your techique is interesting and i laughed when you said how white arylic is the aritsts friend cus i soooo agree with that X3 i use it in almost every watercolor or colored pencil i do, and let me tell ya, it really does give it alot of life ^^ Great tutorial and love how you explained everything so clearly, and i wanted to ask you, you seem to use alot of pens, thats something i have never done before with what i do (and since my fav style is mixed medias) i was wondering how much the pens you mention cost? dont mind me, im lazy as you can see and even though i could just go look it up im too lazy XD

I think they're a buck and some change apiece, but they last a good long time, and they do sell 'em in packs, too.

Nice tutorial. Makes me wish I had enough materials to attempt the technique... :s If I did, I'd certainly give it a try -- it's explained quite well.

It's really amazing how much the picture changed between steps, without any skipping large amounts of work like I've seen some tutorials do. Enormously helpful tutorial, thanks for sharing it with us, and I love the character, too.

Thank you. I get tired of just using color pencil and then get that wax a few days later. Plus, I'm still going by what my stupid art teacher taught in high school. She hated my art. She hated fantasy and told me that it doesn't sell.

Plan to do a unicorn soon with your tech. Me love you very much.
